National Cold War Museum

All,

Am i correct in saying that RAF Cosford Museum is now the only place on this fair blue planet that contains the RAF's complete V Force deterrent, as well as an Avro Type 707 (1/3rd Scale Vulcan prototype) and BAE TSR2?

Here's a link to the 'National Cold War Exhibition site:

Hi Rod

Yep this is correct, and tbh Cosford is one of the most amazing days out I have ever had, I wanted to live in the Cold War Hangar lol, they have the only Valiant on the face of the planet that is complete :-)

Don't the Museum of Science and Industry have one? Or am I getting confused? Haha.

I need to get to Cosford so badly, need to see that Valiant and the Avro Type 707!

RAF Museum Cosford have recently announced another 'Open Cockpits Evening'

It takes place on Saturday 18th May during the evening.

One assumes there is no access into Vulcan XM598, unless you have a very long ladder, since she's perched over the edge of the balcony or to the EE Lightning, dangling from the roof on its end! ;)
