Postby Rod Holmes » Thu Jun 27, 2013 8:32 am

Firstly...................

Thanks must go out to all of you that I know that have already signed the petition to try and keep the Control Tower at former RAF/USAF Greenham Common, not only for the local community but as a national and indeed global reminder of the Cold War.

For those who are not aware of the current situation with regards to the Tower please have a look at the link below.

You can read further information by checking out the previous feeds within this part of the forum, most of which have been taken from the local press.

The story has now reached out to a national level with the following article being published in the Telegraph.

Here's a link to the sales brochure for the site, as you will see the views from the top are pretty fantastic.

Whether you are local to the area, you live in the UK and can remember the International Air Tattoo's and the CND campaigns on the introduction of Cruise Missiles or indeed a member of the USAF based at Greenham please feel free to sign the petition, the more signatures we can add the better the chance of keeping this iconic piece of history for many years to come for us all to visit and enjoy.

Note: At #twittervforce we do not endorse any political party, we would just like to make as many people aware of this effort to save the Control Tower.
